We were hungry by the time we got into the city (thanks to an unsatisfying breakfast), so Café Ricasoli was a wonderful choice. We both got different types of vegetable soup (Joanna and I usually order different meals so we can try each other's) and a rice tart to share. It was perfect, fresh and hearty.

There was an Australian there just finishing his laundry, and he graciously offered some of his laundry detergent. We chatted for a few minutes and then he departed. While I was waiting, I saw some activity at Katti House across the street (it’s listed in the Guidebook), so went over ...

... similar products. The prices were also pretty similar if I do not remember wrong, so we gave up comparing stalls and just one that we felt was the best.

We headed to Sant’ Ambrogo Market next. It was quite a walk. We didn’t think it was that hard to find but we got lost a bit. But there were shops along the way and the sights were interesting so we didn’t mind.

At the market, there was a sort ...
