... very glad to have stopped at this lovely port town. We climbed the thousand-odd steps to the Venetian castle complex above the city. The Venetians appear to have had a pretty decent idea of castle building. A walk through the bougainvillea lined old town had Laura in love with the place and the jewelry shops. We did have to make a move, as we headed to Epidaurus that evening.

Another day, another ruin. After a night in the car park, we visited Epidaurus in the morning. ...

Today we slept in and have been lazy as we are at sea today. We were originally scheduled to arrive at Mykonos tomorrow for the day, but there is a major storm south of us, so the ship's Captain decided to go on to Ephesus tomorrow, instead, hoping the bad weather will have a couple of days to clear out before we head south to the Greek Isles. ... and sat by the shower. Kelly found it dead in the morning in the shower and got rid of it. Hover, I am kind of creeped out to use the washroom in the middle of the night now and Kelly stages the washroom by keeping the door closed as we believe they are coming in through the vent to the garage. Anyways, last night I went downstairs and opened the washroom door, turned on the light and a medium sized (very fast) cockroach scurried out of the bathroom towards the kitchen ...

... souvenir spoons from behind the counter and I was thrilled!! The old lady and I did not speak the same language but we both related to the happiness and relief of finding the spoon! I think she was trying to tell me she has spoons from all over and she didn't have a Greece one.. I spoke English back relating to her struggle. I am such a geek but I was happy to have found the spoon.

I haven't wrote about the European toilets yet? It's always a gamble ...
