... for a slice of spanakopita, and we managed to find a shoe repair shop. The owner recommended Bougris, the local taverna just across the cobblestone lane. A family affair, the restaurant was splendid and traditional.....meal balls and tomato sauce and stuffed eggplant and tomato. The side blind of the car had 'demagnetized' during the night, so the early morning sun flooded in and we awoke early, starting the day with a few rounds of sun salutations and standing ...

... other than the Artina. The owners work with passion and their guests appreciate this. Besides, this is one of the reasons for the many repeaters.





ROOM: Spacious and impeccably clean, our room was equipped with a mini fridge, a flat-screen satellite TV, a safety box and a hairdryer. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a good night's sleep. The balcony overlooked the blue wavy coast.

THE RESTAURANT: The options of dining is both inside and out. The interior has simple lines of elegance and style and a modern touch that makes it unique. ... with maybe ham or something else in it. Simple, but good. A few others shared desserts (it was Valentine's Day, you know :) ) before we all headed back to the hotel for the night. Gabby, Ariana, and I had wanted to try and find someplace where we could dance kalamatiano since we were, well, in Kalamata, but the one place the hotel-guy could think of was too far away, and we didn't want to take a cab.

... and ended up a the beach front. However we needed to head back to the air conditioning because the ice cream didn't even provide much relief.

We drove up to Pylos and went for lunch at a water side restaurant. Unfortunately, we had terrible service and soooo slow it was frustrating. I think we were there for almost two hours and I never did get my meal. The soulvaki I stole from the girls was yummy and Will and Kelly enjoyed ...
