... Roger kitty. Most of us know it's not the greatest joy to scoop a litter box but we do it because we love our cats. Poor things had to deal with runny poop on the bed! We are really concerned about him and discussed turning around but there's nothing we can do more than the Germans already are. We are hoping it's just a parasite or something similar and not anything more serious.

Finally we cross the state line and enter California. We stop off to visit Lake Tahoe. Its ever so nice. Pristine emerald and blue water surrounded by pine trees. What a beautiful place.
These mountain roads are something else, with scenery that is just breathtaking. We dont get into Redding till after 7pm, and find this really nice RV park off the highway and out of town. Doesnt take long to set up the tent, while Gerry is already set up with her camper van.

After leaving the redwoods we continued to head towards our next night stop in Redding. We ...

Last day of summer-like weather for a while. We made an easy day of it and just hung around the resort and pool, doing only the pre-trip checks on the motor home and getting the car hooked up. Tomorrow we head for ...

... We had not heard of Lassen Volcanic National Park before we booked this trip. It is known for its thermal features similar to Yellowstone. In fact, we heard it compared to Yellowstone but to us it was not nearly as spectacular.

We had box lunches outside the Lassen Café at the Kohm yah mah nee Visitor's Center. Afterward we viewed a film and the exhibits. Next ...
