... a baseball jacket and second and third place were something along that line. Rick, always the quick thinker, realized that "A," he could afford a couple of bucks and "B," he didn't need these prizes nor would he be around to collect when the winning ticket was drawn. The drive is wiggly and slow in the RV but the views are breathtaking. Very much like the Great Ocean Road but here you see the coast from the road for much more of the drive. We stop at a couple of viewpoints for photos and spot lots of pelicans playing in the sea at one of them.

... here in the west behind the mountain range it gets dark very quickly. The coastline is mostly untouched although they do have their coastal towns of course but the Monterey council has forbidden any billboard advertising along the road so as to try and maintain its natural beauty. They have heaps of what they call "vista points"....which are look outs...we pulled into a heap of them...that could be why it took us so long to get here ...

... red booth we half expected the fonz to deliver our dinner of potato skins and pancakes! Since the food was so good it even got Arnauds approval too. To top it all off there was a jukebox at every table and we listened to a wee bit of Sam Cooke before coming home. Oh and the bill was delivered with a piece of bubble gum! Brilliant place. Tonight we have 2 baby cots so hopefully we'll get a better night. Night night ...
