Universal Studios is not for the faint of heart. It has thrills, chills, and everything in between. Not to mention, a BUNCH of freaking people. It was superbly packed today and dare I say, chilly. So glad I had my gloves and UGA toboggan. The studio tour was awesome, as was Jurassic Park and The Mummy. It turned out to be a private tour for the day, and Doug started off by taking us in his air conditioned van around all the old theatres in downtown LA. They were very grand and in various states ...

... set up has portable mike booms and the cameras and booms glide back and forth between the sets. The audience is all stationed at the living room view. The pub is to our left. And, as luck would have it, the bulk of the show is taped in the pub. But, you know something? Because we were more comfortable, because Michael was actually funny (not forced), because the cast and crew interacted just a bit more - it was much easier to sit through. If you ...

... to access the viewing point. Oddly, there are a host of other signs along the way that advise you not to go past a certain point, but we ignored them and got access to a more than acceptable view. At this point a character emerged who we won't forget in a hurry. From the dirt track an American man, probably in his sixties, arrived and enthusiastically introduced himself as David. He went on to explain in an overly flamboyant manner that he walks ...
