... touch on the 'high end' side, however--Ms. Bonna could NOT leave without EITHER a 'coon skinned hat' OR a bottle of Fess's 'Frontier Red' wine---I swear to you---that was the name of the 'mid priced' wine. Thank god she settled on the bottle of Frontier Red, otherwise I think Aragon would have tore the hell out of that coon skinned hat.

... main entrées were served. Both meals came with a cast iron skillet of boiled, sliced then deep fried potatoes (very good) to share. I only had 3 slices. ½ through the meal I had to ask for a to-go-box which I filled to the brim with the more than ½ my ground sirloin, the abundance of onions and almost the whole skillet of potatoes (a quart of the left over soup too). ... to say we had done it.

We drove along the ocean road through Malibu, there are some seriously huge houses down there as well. Malibu is a massive area and took over an hour to cover. We also stopped at Santa Barbara, which was a lovely little city, very quaint and picturesque. The GPS was not playing nicely at one stage, and we spent some wasted time at a freeway intersection.

... amazing …….I had Budweiser, Don Black Malibu and Coke, kids had fizzy, enough to eat for our dinner then they went back a couple doors down to the room and watched telly in bed, Don and I stayed on and had couple more drinks $4.00 each (so cheap) and talked to several of the locals that were there, its so nice and normal here and feels like home, retired to our room around 9.30pm and had a good sleep, feeling tired after big days full noise since we left ...
