... zum bräunen und ausruhen. Als kleines Event erlebten wir eine Strandhochzeit direkt neben uns. Nadine war ganz hin und weg. Übernachten werden wir nun hier in Santa Maria.

Morgen geht es dann über den Pazific Coast Highway nach Monterey, über diverse Zwischenstops... Hoffentlich werden wir morgen mehr Fotos vom Highway machen, denn er ist wirklich super schön.

lucky to be alive, so we went for a visit of the Hearst Castle. This is
a mansion/castle built by W.R.Hearst and it just amazing. It sits on
900 acres of land, on top of a hill with stunning vies of the ocean.
The tour is very informational and the castle is beautiful inside.

Today is my last day at home and there is no way that I am ready to travel half way across the world to start my exciting adventure in Australia. To all those I do not see tonight or tomorrow I wish you the best in the coming months and hope to see you after I get back from my trip. Hopefully I will bring back a story or two.

... we went out to see this band play at a coffee shop. They were really good. I could see myself walking down the road to this music. I need to get it on my Ipod. Sunday we met up with her friend Herman and went to the beach. It was pretty, but the water was cold. The wave would crash in short and fool us into walking deeper. Then the big wave would come and soak our shorts. I had forgotten what sand between my toes felt like. It felt like that's where it belongs.

Kyle and I went skydiving. Indescribable. I want so badly to get certified to do my own skydives, but it's so expensive so it might be a while, but I will get certified!

The plane ride is almost as scary as the dive. We chose to do the freefall at 13,000 ft. They claim to have the highest tandem skydive in th world at 18,000 ft. They didn't offer that ...

... I woke up, I immediately grabbed my computer and tried to log on. No internet. So I tried to turn on the TV . . .no TV . . . the power was out!! So no internet, no TV, no phone (all the phones in Brian's house were cordless), no cell phone (can't get a signal) and no idea what power company or anything! For all I knew there could have been an earthquake or rolling blackouts . . . I had no connection to the outside world! I finally found a corner of the living room where I could ...

Took the KLIA Ekspres from KL Sentral station to KLIA. The Malaysia Airlines' Golden Lounge at KLIA is one of the nicest airline lounges i've been to. Malaysia reminded me how much i've grown. As hard as it is to leave Asia, it's harder to imagine what lies ahead. I'm going to miss this place. I'll be back...

... lovely watching them until someone nearby chucked their leftover chips onto the floor and attracted all the enormous seagulls. I had to defend myself quite fiercely from the dog-sized birds while Dan left me to it! Charming!
