I guess it is the population density, but some of the chains have become so specialised, it can be hard to believe. We've seen chains here focused on cheese steaks, party balloons, pretzels, Indian American beads, comics, lumber liquidators, vitamins, coats, fishing outfitters and Fatburgers (truth in advertising).

We drove to Mulholland Drive and again went up into the mountains. It was beautiful up there and lot of really nice houses. We got out and went for a walk up this dirt track to have a look into the back gardens of the big houses to be nosey. We didn’t see anyone famous though.
