Christmas Shopping and Wild Boar Feasts

Day 23 Wednesday 3rd December It's December and only 3 weeks until Christmas, but it really doesn't feel like it. Even when we went to the mall yesterday and I saw the palm trees lined with sparkly lights on them, it was hard to comprehend that the festive season is upon us. Maybe my trips to colder climates next week will make me feel a little more festive! Yesterday I went to South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa with Chris. It's one of the nicest malls in California with a lot of ...

... I tried my first hot sake (I think). And then Dan and I drove back to his place. Today my plan was to go check out Hollywood but the whole public transportation thing just seems way over my head so I'm just hanging out here for the day and then I'll have Dan drive me tomorrow morning. I am loving it here too be honest. Could not have asked for anything more. Well, maybe some aloe for my back.. ; D Hope you're all doing well, feel free to send me comments on what you guys are up to! XOXOX

... on the bench on the ferry thing, and we've worked too hard to not enjoy life just a little. With the dollar at an "all time low" every day we hear the news, and opportunities dwindling with time, sometimes you just have to roll the dice, and just go for it. So in just a short ten days, with multiple trips to REI, Target, Costco, purchases of little things we "need" for the trip... we are just about ready to embark. More to come as time gets closer...

... an hour or so on the bus back to Anaheim at night on the 5 lanes each way chock-a-block freeway. Food is very big here - serves are quite large and much fried or stodgy choices (pizza, churros, pancakes.... but even my chicken caesar salald was too much tonight. Anyway might leave it at that for now - suffice to say we're having a good time. Back to the real Disneyland tomorrow then Friday back to LAX to head to Cresswell, Oregon.

What a shock

... portugal ruled here. Beaches aplenty and really unspoilt ones at that lots of history and Dilli i found to be a rewarding few days, i really do think though that getting out and about is the best option here we mde it to com and the drive at the time and now in hindsight was a great experiance. I met 3 or 4 others who got a little further and the reports were the sae that it is a beautiful country with great people and a bright future if differnences can be resolved lets hope so hey.

All you can make pancakes for breakfast seemed like a fitting way to wake up on my first full day in America, could still have done with a muffin though. Met a Chinese guy, whose name I never got, while munching on my third and best pancake attempt who wanted to see Jackie Chan's star on the walk of fame. Remembering that I stepped on him yesterday we headed out to find the spot noticing a bunch of people gathered outside the El Capitan theater down the street ...

City of Delight

... a complex rhythm whilst singing through crack ravaged vocal cords, tramps that can pull rabbits out of hats and that claim magical powers lie within the strange animal teeth around their necks. Hollywood is a comical feast - a garden of people so strange that they had to move to the last frontier on earth in order to fit in. The hostel in Hollywood was the best I have stayed in up until now. The rooms were cleaned every day, regular tours ...

A Brief Stop in LA

... can empires. It's difficult to draw a line... We saw fields where the soil seemed to cry out with it's sickness, it's death...gray and sludgy and crusted with white. We saw fields with fence lines four feet taller than the fields themselves...evidence of topsoil loss too great to think about. We saw orchards and cotton fields that went on for miles in all directions. But we saw very few people. The people were on the train. I ...

... Idol. The next day we got up very early and tried to catch the 6:50 am flight. It was very full because there was a cancelled flight the day earlier but luckily we got on. The gate agent was very helpful and even got us 2 pairs of seats next to each other so we didn't have to ask anyone to switch seats on the plane. Another nice time in Orange County.

Available with these computers are vast amounts of text, rare historical photographs, film footage, video testimonies by survivors and historians, maps, music, and official documents which have been gathered from archives around the world. Among items I researched were Jewish resistance groups and rescue and antisemitism and the "Final Solution." The computer allowed me to do this research in a very short time. I researched much ...
