      ... San Luis took us through a lovely scenic drive, past more farm land and through golden hills which looked almost like piles of sand. Unfortunately whilst trying to make up for lost time Ben was caught by highway patrol speeding a tiny bit, and was given a good talking to, much to my amusement.       Walking down to find a bar we stumbled across us to a farmers market, Food stall after food stall lined the street. Most people seemed to be walking about with a corn on the cob a sight that I actually got excited about and the walk turned into a hunt for the corn on the cob stand which didn't disappoint once I found it.       ... I suspect that most Californians will never forget their mission project. Of course, now, they have these kits that you buy and put together. I know because this is what my son did for his project.

      Anyway, it was fun seeing the mission made of real bricks and mortar, rather than my original vision of sugar cubes.

      Here we visited the War Hawk Air Museum. A private collection of aircraft and memorabilia created by one of Morgan's longterm friends, the Paul's. We met with Sue who graciously gave us a personal tour. They certainly have accomplished something special.

      ... few more stops. We walked down Monterey's Fisherman's Wharf. It was 12.30pm and we were getting hungry. Must have been looking at all that fish. We found a pizza store which looked fun. You choose your base and toppings then as you move down the line, your pizza goes through a high speed cooker and arrives just as you pay, and the pizza were marvellous. Sam not a fan of Pizza so, after a quick check on the other food stores, plus it was getting late, I promised to grab him a burger ...
