... see the taping.
We were also advised that "locals" attend the show every week and queue up from 14:00 each Friday to guarantee a seat. Again, needless to say I was not impressed and left the carpark in a hurry leaving a couple of black marks as I exited.
To think I got up at 03:30 in the morning to get the tickets and not be told they were standby. Only if the VIP's don't show up then we get in.......:-(.
Anyway we found out the taping was anywhere ...
A lovely day -- with an easy drive out to Sacramento, a good day visiting Sac State (which is a very pretty campus, especially this time of year, with the leaves changing), then an easy drive home. Definitely a long day, and I was exhausted by the end of it, but not a bad one at all.
... got one too since it was one of those self wash things with a pressure gun (FUN) we also gave her another oil change but this was later on in Yuba ( the dude there was really nice, he complemented both our lack of direction and the paint job on Betsy)
After we left Yosemite we went straight to Jessica's mom's, near Sacramento. It was the perfect place to spend our last weekend on the road. A small bbq was planned, and man was it nice to eat some good food, instead of only items coming out of a box or a can.
I got to meet some of Jessica's family that I never had before, and hang out with some of my old friends from school. Joe Kellie, and ...
What a great weekend I was able to spend with Ken and Terry plus Nessa and Vicky (the dogs). A lot was had at the Apple Festival in Apple Hill; eating a drinking everything apple along with a great conversation on "Choice". Sunday was spent in ...
Newcastle, California, United States pilgrimthomasToday we went bowling and that was pretty much what I did.
The first game I played, I won with 116 points. The second game I came 2nd out of 4 with 86 points.
Right now I am about to shopping; even though it is quarter to 8, and the sun is still up and won't go down for another hour and a bit.
Just a short up date and I will write again tomorrow like I always do.
Bye!
... grand, gleaming fiberglass, chrome and brass floating penthouses. Tourists licking ice cream cones clustered around the water's edge watching schools of flashing fish in the aqua water illuminated by the lights beneath the yachts. A small salmon-colored squid was stealing the show, making brief, tantalizing appearances, then gracefully disappearing beneath the expensive floating real estate. Inside the plush, warmly-lighted interior ...
Sacramento, California, United States harvaroo... time in his life. Every chance that he gets, he's been sharing with people the practice of chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo over in Iraq. His experience was truly genuine. He goes back for another 6 months or so on July 16th. Everyone's praying for his safety. At the end of the meeting, we watched a video from Japan of the May headquarters meeting in Japan. In it, there are arts performances and SGI President Daisaku Ikeda shares encouragement with members all over ...
Sacramento, California, United States vcfightersMy uncle Bob hosted Thanksgiving. He lives in Roseville. It's a burb of Sac that saw huge growth during the recent housing boom and is now experiencing massive foreclosures. Mini-malls are EVERYWHERE - and they all look the same... I mean they really, really look exactly alike. Same shops, same neo-mediteranean-desert style, same "I have no idea where I am" feeling. And what's ...
Sacramento, California, United States nisonger... his little **** dogs. We watched him walk straight up to the seal, and his little dogs were scared, but he didn't keep walking. We kept looking back every few steps and witnessed he and his dogs tormenting the poor animal which actually looked pretty sick. He would see how close he and his little **** dogs could get before the poor animal lunged at them. After five minutes or so Raedie and I got angry and walked over to tell him off. He saw us walking toward him and ...
