... you get me traveling at the speeds he was in those conditions, but he'd be used to it and have all the necessary equipment. We had one break at a backwater shack 33km from the border, before continuing on. The landscape actually seemed to change significantly at the border. ... some fifty odd times visiting family and friends. Her daughter, Chris, lives in Manhattan and works in the fashion industry. Chris had lived in India and traveled the world with her work. They were delightful dinner partners until they left the ship a few days before us. Sonoma was especially excited to be passing one of the small villages where one of her nephews lived, Havnnes. ... morning apparently, on the staff accommodation deck. Not a bad deal for the budget traveller! There were four guys dressed in traditional German carpentry gear, on a working holiday together - we called them the 4 amigos - great fun guys!! ( see photo) - Internet access on board ( although free) is very unreliable, even when in port, so best to tell family may be out of contact for a few days. - would have liked to spend more time in most towns and Jeff and I agree that will will ...

... closet space. We have outside rooms with a nice sized window. I immediately unpacked and got out of the suitcase.We had a mandatory safety meeting at one pm. Learned how to put on the life vest outfits. I don't think we would be afforded much protection if we ever ended up in the water. After the meeting exploration of the ship was in order so we toured floors 3-7. ``
We had a very nice lunch, consisting of various kinds of seafood, salads, soup, ...

Good Night Kirkenes!

Kirkenes was the 2nd worst bombed city in WW2. It was demolished by the Germans, and the townsfolk hid in basements and mining tunnels. The town was rescued by the Russians, thus the folks here still hate the Germans, and like the Russians. There is free commerce between the Russians and the Norwegians up here and the russian fisherman actually bring their catches to be sold in Norway, rather in Murmansk where they have to pay ...
