We are stopping at Tromso for about 4 hrs this afternoon, the day is blue sky with a temperature of about 20C, we are going past lowish islands with green vegetation with some trees and the odd patch of snow. It is a pity the outside of our window is dirty otherwise I could include a picture.

... We manoeuvred our bags over the ice to our waiting mini-bus, which was to take us to the ferry terminal in Kirkenes, Norway. For 2.5 hours we drove through scenic countryside, with snow-capped pine trees, frozen lakes and reindeer regular features. Later we visited Skjervoy and we looked out at dinner time to see the loading & unloading operations. Internet coverage up here is very spasmodic and I feel the size of this tome might preclude successful transmission so I will close now and start another then despatch both from possibly Bergen where Internet is likely to be better. More soon Rob ...

... ground dragging length, the farmers fix them up with bras to hold their udders and teats off the ground for fear of them stepping on themselves. We saw the pictures...honest, not making this up!

The final excursion was one that Barb did solo, out of two buses she was the only English speaking guest. This was the "Atlantic Road" trip down the coast across numerous bridges. Northern Norway is accessible by road all the way to Kirkenes, even ...
