... today (other than that Turini at the start), Brouis. These were very pleasant climbs with decent views and less than leg-burning grades.

... Things did not go so well for our German friend. The rest of our time was spent wandering the shops, gardens, etc and we ended with a very necessary stop at the official choclatarie de Monaco. This was an excellent idea. On our trek back we passed a skateboard park (turns out Monaco is swanky AND grunge, who knew?!) and a couple "beaches". ... great part of it was rough and in some places there was loose gravel on the pavement. We essentially came down from 975 m to sea level over 10 km. I think I will be OK for tomorrow, but will definitely need new brakes as soon as I get home.

Unfortunately it was quite misty today so the pictures are a bit hazy, but they views were spectacular.

We pack up the car again after breakfast and a hasty retreat. Rather distressingly we find quite a lot of tiny ants some inside but thankfully mostly outside the car – the car park has a fig tree that has windfalls and the ants have adopted the Maser as their new home, which is great for the little critters but not so great for us. SIx Fours Les Plages - the town that keeps on giving....

We're amazed to see some of the buggers after a 30 mile drive ...

... salmon with beans and fries, and a liquor vanilla ice cream dessert. The food came quickly too, which was much appreciated.

After, it got pretty dark and we headed for a walk along the coastline with the other asian family.
