So friendly, upgraded us to a family room at dorm prices. Free shots when we went to the bar. Beautiful view of the Harbour from the roof top bar and common/restaurant area. Very helpful with all local information and genuine when offering good value tour and accommodation options in the future.

After breaky everyone adorned some sexy plastic shoes and ill fitting life vests, grabbed an oar and ring and walked down to the rivers edge. One by one we jumped into our rings and floated down the freezing cold water. There were squeals of delight and "EF this is cold" coming from the boys and the girls.

Who said I would not do a cruise on my journey? And in turkey? And with the right to a day and a night in a Greek island? And all this aboard a sailboat enjoying the most beautiful islands of the Mediterranean in Turkey? Was PHENOMENAL. Each day I live near, or rather, into the sea, I realize that this is my place. It's where I feel most complete, …

      My last days in Turkey

A travel blog entry by shaeshae88 on Jun 05, 2013

On the last day of the boat cruise the captain decided to turn off the motor and raise the sails and we spent a few hours sailing slowly into the Fethiye port. It was great to see the sails but the motion made me a little sea sick.

At the port Julie, Agnes and I all decided to check into V-Go's and got a free transfer down to the hostel. …

Turkish harbor -back to the lira!

We've arrived back to the Turkish coast this morning. The week of cruising the Greek islands and Turkish coast is over- I'm well rested with a nice suntan and ready for the next leg of my trip. My initial plan was to head down to the Greek islands although I've decided not to leave Turkey yet and head east to Cappadocia and Nemrut for the next w...
