... penpal project, working around teaching in Surgeres. Lydia is so good that way, she said I can drop into class anytime to do that with the kids. And I know she really doesn’t mind at all.

My First week in Surgeres went quite well. It will be a bit different working in this school than the others. Most teachers will have me take half the class, which is normal for Courcon as well, but I will take them for the whole hour instead of 25-30 ...

... skinny rope, they kept adding to it by using this specific “machine” that twisted the little ropes together, making a big rope. There were all sorts of different sizes of course, but like I said before, the ropes were super long and stretched out throughout the whole length of the building. As the rope is twisted, the length becomes quite a bit shorter. There were cute little models that went along with the explanation too that I took pictures ...

... round balls with sugar sprinkled on them as well. Not a lot to see in this little town. The castle that was the strong hold of the Templars is in ruins and very expensive to visit.

We decide to just take some pics and keep going to visit the Château de Chenonceau, one of the most famous castles in the Loire Valley.

We will visit other castles on our next trip perhaps. ...
