Chalet Time - Deeep clean!
... for the past year, the whole place needs a good paint. Lunch with Joel & Charlotte. My hands are getting so dry from all the cleaning - can't wait for the arrival of rubber gloves, awoohoo!! Training Week
... in the oven. Had some more training in our resort group until 4.30pm then back to the kitchen to finish prepping the meal where we were nonstop right up until service which was at 8pm. I quickly planned out a Welcome Speech which we had to practice as we will be saying this to the new guests that arrive every Saturday. ... coaches came - then it was a bit chaotic. We were on coach 2 - and it seemed since there was no limit to the luggage we could bring, people were a bit over zealous so we had to quite alot of the bags shoved at the back of the coach. Finally set off at 4.10pm. Had a random half an hour stop off at some services and got to Dover at 7.10pm to get the ferry over to France. Sunday 2 - We finally arrived in La Rosiere at 11.30 ...

I met dear Madame Roux whilst walking the dog; she was cleaning her balcony. We chatted for quite a while – can’t believe how much my French has improved. Her old cat has finally died and she hopes to spend more time in her house in the Gers near to us. She has spent lots of money on Charmille and really likes the new ski firm; she still managed give a verbal side swipe at Silver Ski though!
