The next morning we headed for the car rental place to pick up our car for the next leg of our trip to Matera. Upon arrival we were informed ...

There had been a type of trade union march in the afternoon, and people in the small streets were enjoying fried polenta and having drinks in small bars, so perhaps that was why some places were closed. It is lovely and very unexpected. Our bill for the B&B and the 7 dish dinner and the privilege of seeing the garden ...

So we were now on the way to Italy. Once we got on the ferry, we sat up on the top deck and admired the night skyline while enjoying a glass of vino. We didn't stay up too long as we were fairly tired and needed to sleep. The cabin was cosy to say the least and I had the top bunk, having said that there was still room for en suite facilities and it was just for two of us.
