Continued from previous post-

All that food helped sustain us for a long day of sightseeing. We took a cablecar (train pulled up/downhill by cable) to a ropeway (cablecar suspended over the mountains) to a boat cruise and back. ... could wake up early to eat another large meal, breakfast! This meal also contained many courses but wasn't as heavy as dinner, though just as filling. There was a tofu dish served with soy sauce and green onions that reminded me a lot of doufu (soft tofu with ginger sauce), a Chinese dessert that I really loved. ... floor and made it to the room...and I know the pictures do not do it justice here because the room was a little slice of history all on its own. Tatami mats covered the floor and the wooden doors that slid open to reveal our private balcony were classic. I could almost imagine myself in ancient Japan!
