Urban Hotel is a good choice and reasonably priced should you need to stay in and around the St Kilda area. Rooms are small but clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the location in St Kilda itself is excellent.

After a delayed flight from Hobart and missing the last train to auntie Carols. We stayed in the city in a last minute hotel booking. Saturday 14th is Valentine's Day and we're off to the cricket! Australia v England! Not before a cuppa tea with Cat, Mat and Olivia. Our seats were high up in the gods but we could see everything! Glenn got talking to a few Australian guys in the row in front so he could talk 'Cricket' with someone. Esme ...

... degrees and higher this last week so you can imagine my relief when Alan suggested I park close to an old corrugated shed alongside a trotting track so he could sling a cable from the shed to my caravan and I could run my air conditioner. "Camping here's free mate so make yourself comfortable and run your aircon as long as you want....power's also free", he advised me. ... new bookings we had booked a place on the ferry. I had heard only good things about Tasmania and so I was very excited.
The ferry leaves the harbor in Melbourne at night and arrives in Tasmania on the next morning. You can either book a bed in a cabin or a recliner. Because of the price we had booked a recliner. If you know how to lower the seat it will be really handy for sleeping. If not then it’s going to be an uncomfy night. Finally, we got the mechanism ...

... special. We had to see the beautiful winery, where the grapes grow and the wine is created. We tried the highly recommended cakes too . With a short drive along to Sorrento for lunch, an amazing sunset and a chilled out evening was a great end to a great day. Melbourne has a great atmosphere and some great people, with so much to offer too! Australia we will miss you while we are away but we will be back soon! We are heading through to Sri Lanka! ...

Last day in Melbourne and off to Adelaide

My last day in Melbourne had arrived, and today was the day I got to meet one of the stars from Neighbours. Oh yes my level of coolness is now officially at an all time low, but I do not care, and yes I did get very excited when Dr Karl Kennedy strolled on into the Official Neighbours Tour office. Mr Alan Fletcher aka Dr Karl is a very nice chap, and he posed for photos and spoke to us all. I met another English girl called Jess, who was equally excited, and ...
