But the end of lunch brings the farewell song, sung beautifully by all available staff. Some of us tear up. It is the epitome of all this place has been, means and delivers.
Two hours back to Nadi, two hours in the airport and five and a half flight back to Melbourne.
And so the results of the compare and contrast?
... at the photos from yesterday and back to our room for a siesta. I did a heap of washing. We didn't want to get undies or t shirts washed as they may shrink from what we've been told. We went and had a wander and had a cuppa at Park Cafe, went to see if there was a signal so we can sent emails, but the 3 people on the computers were having all sorts of trouble, so I guess that's a no. Back to our room, then at 5.15, we went down to the Schooner Bar for the Music Trivia, then up for ...
... music, performing arts in the street, the only thing was it was so busy like you couldn't move.
We stayed out until ermmm not really sure but we went back to the room and carried on chatting and in all that excitement of the day I had totally forgotten that I was doing the Great Ocean Road tomorrow and it was about 5 in the morning that suddenly I remembered.... whoops, I'm going to get about an hour sleep and feel really fresh.... ...
... herd the whales into the bay. One killer would lead the fishing boats to where the rest of the pack had surrounded the whale. Working much like sheep dogs do on a farm. After the kill the pack would claim the dead whales tongue and lips as a reward. The fisherman removing the remainder of the carcass a few days later. The fisherman knew the killer whales by name. So interesting that I went through the Museum a second time. In the end I bought a book about it. So glad we came ...

Urban Hotel is a good choice and reasonably priced should you need to stay in and around the St Kilda area. Rooms are small but clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the location in St Kilda itself is excellent.
