Urban Hotel is a good choice and reasonably priced should you need to stay in and around the St Kilda area. Rooms are small but clean, staff are friendly and helpful and the location in St Kilda itself is excellent.

... me access the booking as it was booked through an agent. Emailed them to try to sort it out as it’s a lot cheaper done in advance. Also discover that the hire car in Tasmania seems to end a day sooner than we have paid for so something else they need to sort. ... wearing fleece jackets from when we left Melbourne) and headed out for a short walk along Jl Legian. The streets were lined with people and cars, and we could barely walk 20 metres without someone calling out to us, or saying hello, or a taxi beeping us. The view from here was great and being any lower might have made it harder to see the whole picture as novices. M, H and I found a nice little cafe on the terrace, had a few quiet beers and watched the world go by. That night Henk prepared his fabulous mussels for dinner! ... out really cheap. Ohhh it was scrumptious not to be eating microwave food for a change! However, still doesn't beat the dominos back home. This was the only complaint we had from hotel claremont, well and there awful wifi connection!

With our student cards enabling us to free entry into museums, we had to take advantage of this and went to two in one day. We first hit up the immigration museum, which was interesting to read and learn about. We learnt about how they ...
