... nuclear stockpiling. The bright spot are the countless streamers of paper cranes created by school children as a symbol of life that decorate the entry ways, the exits and the hallways leading to the disturbing pictures and artifacts. The museum was well organized, but tough to visit.

Our next stop, The Peace Park is a fabulous contrast to the sadness of the museum with tributes to peace represented by statues from around ...

... he related as to how he had always wanted to visit "ground zero" because of what took place there meant that his family in Indonesia could start rebuilding their lives. It was an emotional journey for him, and it showed is his face and in the telling.

... practise our "Japanese", evely wol we say svaps de r fo a l and de th fo a d. Anyone ristening as we wark wourd be dinking we a mad! We make ourselves laugh anyway. Nagasaki is very hilly and lots of steep paths and roads and lots of steps. First we come to a Shinto Shrine and along side of that is the entrance to the Ropeway. ... we hailed a cab, which was very cheap, and we travelled the rest of the way in air conditioned comfort. The seats of the Taxi cab were all covered with some kind of white lace seat covering. It was very quaint.

The mall is great, it even has a Laura Ashley. Which makes me laugh, you expect the usual, Zara, top shop or whatever but not Laura Ashley! No Nivea yet rhi.
