We are on the back stretch and reaching for home. Two more blog entries to go. We hit the road this morning at 7:15 and 81 degrees with clear skies and headed for Baton Rouge, the capitol of Louisiana...but you knew that, of course. The drive took us through bayou country with roads raised over the water that go on for miles without relief. Fishermen were in boats below us and who knows who else…maybe my favorite Ax Man, Shelby, looking for sunken ...

... 8217;s story of what circus performers do after the show…I don’t want to spoil the story, so I’ll just highly recommend that you do not volunteer to host the after-circus party!

As we wander the grounds, Marcus points out the classrooms, dorms, and ROTC detachment he used to frequent. FSU has a beautiful campus set on, what looks to be, the only hill in Tallahassee. At one point on our tour ...

... Here it goes. It seems my posts are often detailed and possibly boring to some, however, I am not only doing it for the enjoyment of some of you, but also to chronicle our travels for the following purposes: Future entertainment, memory refreshment, to kill time in the evenings instead of frying my brain on mindless television programs, and to provide proof that we actually did this stuff.

End of disclaimer. Over and out.

Off to Tallahassee, Florida today. It should be a 6 hour drive today. Drove into the state of Alabama at 9:15 a.m. We saw the USS Alabama Battleship "The Hero of the Pacific." It rests at the Battleship Park on Mobile, Bay. I have a pic of it from the moving truck for your viewing enjoyment. I saw a truck blow it tire while it was passing us. Sounds like a shot gun with lots of smoke. Cool for me but not too cool for the driver I would think. 10:30 a.m. we entered ...

    ... today.

Finally pulled into the Tallahassee RV Park about 4:20, but by the time we unhooked the car and got into our site, it was after 5. I don't know about Bob, but I'm really tired and will be glad to get to bed tonight.

Not really anything else today. The days of travel are really boring, thank goodness. Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy Spring Break next week for those in Texas and for those elsewhere, enjoy your Spring Break whenever it is.
