Shortly after Rocklin, Hwy 80 starts to climb over the Sierras to Donner Summit which is over 7000 feet. The MH did just great over the mountains and rarely did I fall below 50 mph. I even passed a few trucks that were going slower than me.

I had forgotten how magnificent the Sierras are and how much I love the fresh smell of being among the trees.

I did learn something about when to stop and take a break -- and that is to plan my stops a little better. As ...

... and there were two fairly good sized patches of a blue flower. About 50 miles east of Klamath Falls, we really began to see lush farmland. This area is irrigated with large sprinklers. We also started seeing more cattle, along with a few horses. The view of Mt. Shasta was nice, but there was a bit of haze so it’s not as clear as I had hoped.
