We then switch buses and reach Clarksdale for dinner at Ground Zero. For those who had not been here before, the first look at Ground Zero is a bit surprising! Our on-bus musicians sing a guest song on the stage and make the most ever out of the one song they are given! I settle in for the night in my very own room and wait for the next day.
... the room was just concrete floors and walls, with a half built shower, an old dirty sink, a fridge, kettle and microwave, but it had a sofa in, and despite the rawness of the room, it was really nice! our room was underneath Jame's "loft"style apartment, next to a huge garage/workshop (which also had the toilet in).
