... we headed to Ole Miss for a picnic in the Grove. What a beautiful spot. Sadly, we had to move inside when our meal was invaded by bugs. If you have not seen it, there is a gigantic catalpa tree on the grounds! Thankfully a fence kept my monkeys from climbing up! Ice cream and a trip to Square Books Jr finished the day out. Then my spoiled rotten sister convinced me to make her chicken and ...

A travel blog entry by krb2g on Apr 30, 2010

... a really neat one called Square Books. I got some beautiful retro postcards there. This store is a great independent bookstore. They have signed books, a wide selection, and it's all so very comfortable that a number of students were there studying. Speaking of students, Courthouse Square looked like something like the Corner--an historic district that's been preserved into something trendy. I saw lots of cute places to eat and to shop. The ...

... my work. Our little room is pretty much undisturbed except during band time when random groups of revelers invite themselves to join us in our space, so it's easy to put in some quality time with my iBook and the Two Stick's strong wireless connection. On Monday night Eero Ruuttila & Simon Pettet drive into town and join the First Monday Night poetry set at Two Stick, delivering dynamic performances and gaining the complete affection of the ...
