... in but I'm used to western ideas about random people walking into restaurant kitchens. One thing though, when they switch on the gas you'd think a jumbo were taking off. No wonder it's pretty hard to recreate some of these dishes at home.
Even some outside seating but it was a bit cold for that. But I'm sure it's pleasant when the weather's appropriate.

Nanchong is not on the tourist trail at all. I think that's what made it so great. That and being shown around by Marleen's friend who now lives there to study Kung fu from a local master.
The city itself is very relaxed and brilliant for just wandering about and seeing how the locals actually live.
