Evening Entertainment - LAS VAGAS by the on board dancers - we lasted 10 minutes and left - the standard of singing and dancing was below P & O and what was worse, the diction of the singers left one wondering what they were singing ...

... any cruise ships in today (except for the Hurtigruten which stops in briefly at lunchtime, but that's quite small compared to some). In the afternoon I went on the ferry down to Hellesylt, which is a much quieter village at the other end of the Geirangerfjord. Although Geiranger is 82km from the sea, the Geirangerfjord itself is only 16km long. It's a UNESCO world heritage site, like Bryggen, not only for it's natural beauty but also for the preservation ...

Arrived in this stunning fjord early morning, the sound of the mooring engines running loudly and waking us up. However this time they stayed on all day!! Noise torture. We tendered ashore with crowds and crowds of people in this tiny tiny town. 7 cruise ships in total today rather making this gem into tourist central. We walked up ...

... village, glacier, fjords and said cruise ships. We decided against the final kilometer that climbed 500m of the total 1300m to the top as the legs had just about packed it in. Instead it was lunch (pita breads again) by the lake and a stroll back down. We also spotted our first wildlife in the form of some form of mole/hamster thing, pretty cute. Bonus for the day, the lovely cabin owner at the bottom let us use his showers. We now have a lazy 11-hour drive back towards Sweden.
