Ros and most of the passengers have left the ship for Transylvania and an overnight stay. I have opted to stay on board and to do the half day tour today. ... Over time the Danube and the Black Sea silted up and changed course so that they were no longer near the town. Thus the town eventually collapsed.

The ruins were very interesting with rows of houses and warehouses. This was a very active commercial town. There were cisterns and aqueducts to bring in water. This town is about 1 hour outside of present day Constanta. Tomorrow onto Nessebur, Bulgaria.

We decide to do one of the ship's tours to the Danube Delta today. We're not too crazy about the tours offered in this port, but we have a lot of onboard credit we need to use up.
