Day 1: I get moving early and go across to the little cafe in the square for the BnB provided breakfast of tea or coffee and a croissant. They have free wifi which works. Yes! The BnB wifi is useless! After breakfast I head off to the boat pier and get a day ticket for the Middle lakes area. 15 euro and can be used to get to Villa Carlotta, Bellagio, Menaggio and back to Varenna. It's beautiful on the ...

She then says that she’ll remove the tooth. Huh?

I was looking at making an appointment to get a filling today and here she is wanting to solve the problem in quite a different way. She explained that I didn’t need it to eat … but …, well, I wasn’t expecting this.

My ears keep popping when we go through the tunnels. The terrain is very similar to down south. Rolling hills etc., with flat plains in between. I can't see so many olive trees though and there's a lot more grape vines. It still all looks very beautiful. Can't say for sure but the soil looks a lot more sandier than ...

... nice (Damn!) and went to the first unit which, we immediately knew had problems with smell and age. It hadn't been opened for some time and the traps were obviously empty giving that characteristic smell you may know and hate. We had a problem Houston and something would have to be done, later.
Our plan for today was to cross to the other side of the lake, assess conditions there and try for a spot of lunch before travelling to Milan ...

... I do my videoclip in front of a dramatic monument of a naked woman being carried off on a horse, dedicated to the "Soldiers of all the Wars"... a common way for Italy to honor its fallen without having to explain if they were fighting on the "right" side or the "wrong" side... And with that, I head to the train station, climb aboard the train, and rest my weary legs. Goodbye, Alps. Goodbye beautiful part of the world where culture and natural beauty blend so ...
