          Public transportation in Italy is phenomenal. You really could live here without a car. We decided to take the FrecciaRossa (high speed) from Bologna to Bari.           ... asks if I know why. Of course, it's because we're taking our time, no set, rigid plans, etc. Bill suggests it's because I'm having wine every afternoon!

          Now to answer that question, To eat or not to eat? Bologna-so much food, so little time. It's earned it's nickname valiantly. La Grassa--the fat city. Off to Parma tomorrow.

          ... to shops, wifi and cheerful bar manager who, in my case, also doubled as imminent boyfriend.

          I don't remember what ensued. There could have been a tearful exchange, perhaps some hugging and walking together and undoubtedly some remorse and apologising. What I do remember is deciding that the best way to make it up to him was to go to a very wild and outrageous gay and lesbian foam party that night.

          ... really good, were highly stylised and they had difficulty singing a straight, undecorated, melodic vocal line. When they did however, the sound was very good. They understood the technical concepts and told us that they practised technique independently from their songs.
