      ... about 1 hour on the boat. There is residential along the shoreline and half way up the mountain most of the way around the lake, the further we get away from Como although it begins to thin out and clear townships can be seen.
      Menaggio is, like all the other towns, a holiday destination and at this time of year most of the places are closed. We find somewhere to have lunch and then spend the afternoon wandering through the alleyways ...

      ... the Contemporary Art Gallery, although we only walked by). Afterwards we caught the tram back to the apartment. We've both had showers and are now resting before dinner tonight. They have offered/insisted to cook for us despite us insisting we would take them out for dinner. I'm not sure how it will end.
