    We waited in line at the port, dock number 4 and bought cheap tickets for a one hour boat ride. We really enjoyed this and oohed and aahhhed at how lovely it all was.

    The obligatory ice-cream stop after the boat ride before we headed back to the hotel, stopping on the way at a K.Mart kind of store to buy me some swimming goggles, with my bright idea of swimming some laps in the big hotel pool.

    Hmmmm that didn't eventuate. ...

    Thank you for all your comments about the blog but we haven't quite finished yet! Still about 24 hours before we'll be on our doorsteps, a whole city still to explore and at least one more blog post!     ... we moved off to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. Wow what a shopping centre! Photos attached.

    Then across the Duomo Square and into the Cathedral. Absolutely gorgeous the workmanship in this cathedral is unbelievable. All made of marble. And the windows!     ... a circuit of the red route, we came back to the hotel and retrieved the missing items, plus a passport, as I knew I'd need that to buy a sim. After a bit of fussing around, we even got to make the coffee machine work, so Ron had a quick coffee and we were away again.
