It was late afternoon by this stage and we needed to get to Verona to check in to the next hotel. So we retraced our steps to the Metro, and found our car exactly where we had left it - wheels all in tact, no graffiti and no traffic tickets - woohoo!

... but I was impressed as I was impressed by everything I saw in Milan, a beautiful piazza faced it in the middle of which was a statue of Leonardo Da Vinci. The girls needed a break after this, being a tourist is tiring! So we went for a traditional milanese lunch...Macdonalds.

After the girls were fed, watered and rested we decided to go for a walk to Milan Castle, I had no idea there was a castle so I was excited to see it. On the walk ...

... at the street door to her apartment building. She shows us around her apartment and leaves. This is a really nice open plan apartment on the 2rd floor of a really nice villa. So we unpack and and start to worry about what we will eat. Today is a public holiday, so nearly everything is closed. Lucky for us there is a nice little restaurant next door. We order up some nice lasagne and gnocchi.
