... Maritimes region are heavily influenced by Italy, so there are Italian restaurants everywhere. I just had spaghetti in a tomato sauce, and it was delicious. But the portions! Oh my God! They brought out a frickin' basin of pasta. Everyone else's dishes were the same way. We had talked about going for gelato afterward, but we were all too tired and full to actually go.

I spent about an hour straightening that out. We walked to the Notre Dame Cathedral and it was nice ...

We returned to our hostel and rested for a little before walking to dinner at La Pizza where we ate pizza and gnocchi since gnocchi was invented in Nice! After dinner we did more walking around and exploring Old Town Nice which was lovely. The next day was a rainy one which meant a museum day for us. Luckily Nice is a city ...

Nice and Monaco

Today was an nice easy relaxing day. It started with a walk through Nice to the Old Town lookout. Which is about 280 steps. The view from up there over Nice is really worth the walk up. Then it we time to spend some good time at the beach. The beach in Nice is all pebbles and not very comfy. Decided to head in water for a swim. It was freezing and very salty but well worth it. It was really hard getting out. I would have fallen over at least 3 times. After relaxing on ...
