... for the beach. We never did find it but in our quest myself and 2 guys from the group did find a really nice place down by the water to site and have drinks. We sat there for about 1.5 to 2 hours just watching boats going by and listing to the water hit the shore. We have our latest departure tomorrow (10 am) and then it's off to the Mediterranean and the boat. I can't ...

... I was knackered by the end, and always excited to see Dan the following week.

School ended with coke fireworks, upset, and a lot of happy children with pinwheels (classes ran by me - success!)

Just one more weekend, then I pop back to the UK - I see Dan, I see Exmouth, I Graduate... all in the space of 3 days, before I'm back again.

        Phew... Keep checking back
( especially if you want to see pictures of me in a funny hat and gown)

A Hamam that we went to in Bodrum was a tourist establishment and we were looking for the real thing. Unfortunately, the ladies section was closed for a private function. Traditionally, Turkish baths are segregated by gender. Men massage men while women massage women. Unwilling to leave Dasha behind, we ...

        ... set out to
visit Theatine Krichen, Frauenkirche (both are churches), Bayerische Straatsoper (Opera House), and Haufgarten. It was great navigating
around so that we could see the areas of München that the travelers who were
there for a day couldn’t see. We got dinner at another place in the
Marienplatz (main München area), then sat on the opera steps and chatted until we decided to headback to the hostel.

... br> A night flight to Turkey arriving at Istanbul for my connecting flight to Ankara at 04:00. Weather conditions resulted in a delay but 5 hours later I was airborne again.

Why Ankara? No real reason other than it was somewhere on the map that was readily within reach of southern Turkey and hence Syria.

Landed in a snow covered Ankara at -10 oC in a tee shirt and light jacket. Although, ...
