We stopped at the port of Corfu. The only way to really get around the island is to take an excursion. At least it was for us. We were going to see a Monastery in the village of Palaiokastritsa and to the village of Gastouri to visit the 19th century Achilleion Palace.
The places were very beautiful and again the excursions didn't disappoint ...

... the islands and crags come and go while continuing to read about Henry V's antics at Agincourt. The ferry landed, as ferries tend to do. Patras looks amazing. The geography is very different from Bari: Patras sits at the base of a large hill (mountain?) and sprawls part way up it. Bari almost seems like the coast is a little higher than immediately inland. ... near a lighthouse and passed a nudist beach that was totally swamped with mosquitoes. Bad combo.

The treasure boxes were plastic, roughly the size of a pencil case, and were stashed in walls and under rocks. Inside, were signed postcards, medal medallions that you can track online, tiny stuffed animals and toys. It was awesome. Can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it before.
