... I slept in until 11:45..... haha... oops.... Stefania woke me up, and we walked to the grandparents house. We ate lunch there, and it was awesome handmade pizza. Figaro's or Home Place has nothing on an italian pizza. I met two of her cousins also, they seemed nice. I hung out at the house after that, and at 6 my host dad drove me to my "tutor" to have dinner. We drove on his motorcycle... which was terrifying... but the dinner was delicious ...

... Tim loved the diving boards. We've had many delicious meals thanks to Holly. The other night we went for pizza and Tim ordered what he thought was salami, but turned out to be a salmon pizza ;0) A few more things are the caves that we toured around Porlezza, and then zip line experience yesterday! Quite a rush! Today we are off to a mini vacation to Cinque Terre, Lucca, and Florence. Oh yes- we also took a ferry from Mennagio to Bellagio! ...

The reviews I read said, just a 15 minute walk into town. They didn't mention that it's a STEEP rocky descent that feels endless on a rocky pebbly road. No footing ever felt sure to me, on the way down. I didn't like that route so we decided to take the 'other route' on the back of the property which was closer to the ...

... lake to Villa Carlotta, which welcomed tourists to explore the beautiful gardens. Then we could take the fast ferry back to Como. Armed with this plan, we decided to make use of the extended daylight hours and take a short stroll to the Funicular which we could see gliding up the hill to what promised to be wonderful views. We arrived just in time to catch it, so found a seat quickly and got ready for the slow trip uphill. It was a beautiful clear afternoon and ...

Day 240 3 hrs, 3 kms Day Totals: 16 hrs, 36 kms After a pretty dreary day, Seregno feels like a breath of fresh air. It might still be a Milan suburb, but it's definitely a suburb with a soul. I start out in the peaceful cemetery at the edge of the city. Nothing like the Monumental Cemetery of Milan, but still some impressive structures here. Then I head to the heart of town, stopping at ...
