    ... where thousands more watched it - live - from the comfort of their homes.

    It was truly spectacular and worthy of bragging. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain outside. So much so that the relics were not carried on the shoulders of military personnel throughout city neighborhoods as is the custom of today’s holiday. But that’s ok….I have enough to absorb and process for a long time.

    Ionian Sea DayToday was only one of two sea days we will enjoy on this cruise as it is a port intensive itinerary. Today we spent 90% of the day in the Ionian Sea and as I type this now, around 11pm at night, we are in the Sea of Crete (North) headed up to the Agean Sea.
