... to the town of **** (lol). It took us a little over an hour to reach the train station at Garmish-Partenkirchen. We bought tickets and awaited to board our train for an adventure to Zugspitze, a mountain peak that goes by the tagline "Top of Germany". Four countries in one day: Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein & ...

For the second half of our day we went less than a mile inside Austria to the Leutasch Spirit Gorge. It was deeper, the water slower and clear, and we saw only a few other people. Definitely our favorite. The walkway was incredibly impressive as well. It was made of metal and hung out from the side of the gorge so you could ...

... zone with cobbled streets and nicely restored buildings. But there is not much else of note in the city, the other attractions are the surrounding mountains that would supply all sorts of snow sports in winter (they've had the Winter Olympics here). During summer months the mountains are used for hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking etc. Our first day here we decided to head up a mountain using a funicular (a train that goes up steep hills) and then two cable cars. ...
