... on Monday at 9 a.m. and if all is okay, surgery is around noon. And I
can dance the same evening!?!??!?!?
BUT, I wouldn’t do it solely on his recommendation, so I knew I had to
check his references, etc.
Katerina and I got to our condo, decided to eat and asked a
gentleman on the street for directions. Turns out he had a medical-type uniform
on. It ...
... seemed to enjoy themselves although I was happy to move out of the way of all the people jumping along to the beat incase I got squished!
This morning Sandra and I went for some breakfast in Plaza Serrano (a great place that also serves fried egg and chips, no baked beans though!) after I switched to a lighter bag for my mini tour of the North of Argentina. Now I'm waiting to catch the overnight bus to Cordoba - looking forward to my comfy seat and hopefully a decent amount of sleep.
... to organise new accomodation!! I`m getting kicked out of my house!!!
But the school will sort out a cheap good hotel for the same price... Yeah, the same price. Double more like. But I do it anyway. Spend 5 days in a hotel... thank god Wimbledon was on the TV! And thanks to Matt for "risking" getting swine flu and going out for dinner with the invalid.
Turns out I didn`t have swine flu, I don`t think so anyway
... at least a little bit though we ve had a hard time understanding people coz they talk quite fast and also have a bit of an accent which we found out later. Apparently there is lots of slang words that change almost on a weekly basis, along with other things such as "ll" being a "sch" sound and so on..
We have also gotten used to the colder weather though the first thing we did was buy scarves ;) and are gonna head down to Bariloche in Patagonia tomorrow.
... iron buildings are painted in really bright colours and there are loads of artists, Tango dancers in the street, musicians playing as well as a large number of craft stalls. After getting our fill of the true heart of B.A. We caught the bus back to the hostel and made ourselves pasta for dinner.
On Saturday we got up and had breakfast and then decided to blog before heading to Iguazu Falls this afternoon.
Love to everybody at home xxxxx
... banii economisiti, vom baga probabil dulciuri. Numai bine!
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina dragoscurelea... is the river terminal where a myriad of water taxis take people to there homes on the hundreds of islands that dot the delta region. Just like the bus system in Buenos Aires, the water taxis have specific routes and will drop you at you dock. Addresses in the delta read like 723 Rio Sarmiento or 143 Rio Luján or 876 Rio Carapachay and if you want to be picked up, just wait on your dock and flag ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina khillski... our next lesson today and then Tues and Wed. So what we were looking forward the most today was the trip to river plate stadium, once the 5th best stadium in the world and now.... well not so good. Anyways we met up with our tour guide at 3 and picked up a few other backpackers and then headed into the city . Todays game was between River Place and Colon. River plate has 38% of the WHOLE South American people who follow it and Boca ...
Buenos Aires, Capital Federal District, Argentina mariaandeva... entertaining as well. We found out that "Colo" is actually only a nickname, since Argentineans tend to call most Redheads this name....as it is short for "Colorada". Escorting the drunken ladies out the door, Elvis and I left the building. Arising the next day, we finally took every guide's advice and made our way to the Recoletta district. Starting at the famous Cemetery, we were pleasantly surprised by row upon row of beautiful mini mausoleums. While most of the columns ...
