... did a spot of shopping at H&M and Lindex. We also discovered the busiest shop in town, the Systembolaget. Yes this is where the Swedes get their full strength beer and not even that, 10% beer and 7% Cider! The place was packed, so much for trying to minimise alcohol consumption. There are no off-licences to go to get any full strength alcohol past 5pm or 6pm when the shops close, so basically this is the only place besides bars and restaurants to get your alcohol. Interesting ...

Säffle, Värmland County, Sweden wizalll... looked like perplexed while he waited for the pump to switch on but eventually the nice Swedish male proprietor came out and explained in perfect english that we needed to pay at the pump with a card! Hey being hello and Tack being thank you.

The Vitlycke rock carvings at Tanumshede were quite extensive and covered the most of the side of one hill. The carvings were highlighted by red paint to enhance the ...
Säffle, Värmland County, Sweden wizalll... the Swedes took us just south of Karlstad to Kristineham where there is an enormous Picasso statue looking out over the water. We mostly took it easy and wandered around the delta, enjoying the sunshine and water.

Big thanks to Johan, and Lina for putting us up for the week. Karlstad, Swedish Lakeland, Sweden jamierand... is doing a good job telling me I have an hour before my train back to Norway. Also last night there was another Lene Marlin concert here in Karlstad (yes the reason I'm here but dont judge me. bah i dont care anyway, it was totally worth it). It was put on at short notice but was really amazing, she had a band behind her of at least 10 people including a string quartet, a drummer, and a percussionist. Then after the show I followed the Italian fanatics again and got to meet ...

Arvika, Swedish Lakeland, Sweden stureth19 minutes past midnight and we are leaving Karlstad by a bus that is taking us to Örebro, where we'll change to another bus that will take us to Stockholm Skavsta Airport in Nyköping. In about 17 hours we'll hopefully be in Innsbruck in some pub or fan-area where we can view the game between Sweden and Spain.
Karlstad, Swedish Lakeland, Sweden danielwrinellWe have been living on an island for almost a month now. Today we woke up to 4C and thought that the time had come to leave. We still don't know if we are selling our hose in Florida NEXT week or not. I think realtors (real estate agents) are the tru evil on earth! How much pure **** can come out of ones mouth and still nothing happens?
Roholmen, Sweden svante... We spent the Saturday with Hannah and Gustav at a local park/petting zoo/wildlife refuge/historical site. We had a nice time and saw a lot of interesting animals and exhibits. Sunday we went hiking by the lake. Karlstad borders the largest lake in Sweden and hiking trails abound in the area. Hanna had a birthday party to go to so this time we went with Johan and Gustav. The hike was great. It is a very flat area so ...
