    For all except graham the mountain scenery was spectacullar. He said all he could see was the white line when we had one, in the middle of road.
    Arrived at Corte - staying at different hotels. Thunder and lightening and heavy rain. Waited a while for it to subside then g&j dropped us off at our hotel.

    ... about the locals.
    Arrived in Santa Teresa di Gallura. Greated in half Italian and french by the 70 yearold lady who's father had started the hotel and restaurant in the town.
    Went for a walk to the high points, the marina and the chiesa.
    Got our bathers and walked to the beach. Refreshing, the water is so clear and azure blue.

    ... minutes west and inland from PV. On our drive, we see many cork trees, that are partially naked of cork.. Our guide explained that cork trees takes 7 years to be fully mature for harvesting. What Corsicans do to promote sustainability is harvest the cork in stages from the trees. (America, pay heed!)

    ... some restaurants would even have a DJ in the street in front of the restaurant playing music. Our hotel was located in the centre ville. I loved the proximity to restaurants, shops, boulangerie, epicerie and everything I need. As for the beaches, they were outside of the city, max 10 min drive.
