... nothing like I imagined... a given, since I have never climbed a volcano before. The volcanic ash from previous eruptions has created cliffs and crevices that are amazing to see. The rocks were all black, as is the entire volcano.

At one point we came across the Tower of Wishes: rocks that have been placed in a tower by tourists to represent wishes they want to ...

the room, then went up to the top deck and watched the sun set. This
      was a great sunset ...

... filthy and you have the bare essentials, but even these look like they are 5th generation hand me downs. We found we had internet available only to discover that the grumpy snappy French wench from the info centre had not given us the passkey. The guys in the studio next door, fellow weary travellers, were told that the internet was not even working.

The food here is as good as Naxos and Athens, but twice as expensive and ...

But you can read about Santorini anywhere. I want to tell you the HIGHLIGHT!

      Cooking Class
We met some people when we were in Mykonos that mentioned a cooking class in Santorini and of course Chari really wanted to check it out. I Googled it and came up with a cooking class on Thursdays in a restaurant called "Selene". Problem was, we were only going to be there ...
