Santorini was very relaxing after spending a whole week eating food, sitting by the pool and watching the amazing sunsets! Unfortunately I'm currently quite sick and have had to spend some time in bed to recover for Mykonos. We spent the first few days in Perissa and Oia and then moved to another hotel just outside of Fira. We have about 20 friends with us at the moment so it's really nice to see some friends after 2 months of being away from ...

... the views and the fabulous matkot match with Alan make it worthwhile

    • Hitchiking a ride back up the hill to the hotel with my sister (she hitchiked!!) while Alan walked. He made good time.
    • Praying for nonsmokers as we try to enjoy delicious Greek food in the many outdoor cafes
    • Unbelievably, just 24 hours after my theft, Alan is pick pocketed on the subway in Athens. They take his drivers license, credit cards and all their cash. We need a beer.

We end up buying A Vinzanto which is the local dessert ...

Our first stop, Corfu, offered historical, cultural, and religious icons making it the most interesting, to us, of all the stops.

... no complaints there at all.

So mostly we hung out and chilled at the hotel or went for walks to check out the pretty towns and waited for the sunsets. Last Sunday I found a pub in Fira and convinced the bartender to put an NFL game on. Hoping the Dallas-Chicago game might be on and I'd get my football fix and with any luck see my beloved Cowboys. Alas, whilst both Apollo and mighty Neptune wear the blue Lone Star atop their crowns, cruel Jove, father of all gods ...
