    Yellowstone National Park was the first national park to be established. The founding day was March 1, 1872. The park is very large but there are very few roads within the park. The majority of people are funneled into popular areas such as Old Faithful and Mammoth Hot Spring. We quickly learned that we picked the wrong time of year to visit Yellowstone!
