... Weather was pretty iffy most of the day but was a very scenic route. Stopped at Astoria at the Best Western - good hotel - rate $108 plus $15 for George. Was clean and relatively new. Ate dinner at the Ship Inn which was a good seafood place. Basic and definitely not fine dining but good ...

    Off to Palm Springs

... hopefully next year it will be better......George started drooling before we hit Westbank and threw up his breakfast (note to self not to let him eat before we leave) before we got to Penticton. We drove through Washington State Park which was on a peninsula and had really thick forest on it. At least we could see the trees because the fog was so thick we couldn’t see anything out on the water. It was a shame, as I am sure there ...

... aren't massively long but it is quite a steep mountain with predominately blues and black runs, I don't think I would like to be a beginner here!! The snow fall for the season hasn't been what it usually is but most of the runs were open and we got around to most of them. After we stopped for lunch its like the temperature dropped 5 degrees and as we rode that first chair lift my face felt like it was going to drop off! There was nothing I ...
