... locking it to the bridge over the River Salzach. They've been doing it for only a few years but it looks great - apparently having stolen the idea from Paris. Keys have been despatched into the river apart from one. So if any of us comes back we can collect it. The kids made their wishes. And now we are on the bus on the way back. ... gardens were the only thing immaculately finished in the 7 years that the palace was under construction before running out of cash. The two large fountains either side of the garden portray classical figures and are quite amazing. Thankfully we joined the last tour of the day at 5:10pm although we did get a German bogan along for the ride, who enjoyed complaining about seemingly everything; not very German indeed!
