... for dinner....BIG mistake! £20 later we had 2 oily sausages, a very stale roll, cold stale chips, some sauces and a drink. The worst meal of the trip so far by a long way! As the ship headed out into the North Sea the waves become bigger and the ship rocked more so we decided to head to our cabin to sleep though the storm. Tonight we are staying outside of Aalborg. We travelled to Skagen which is located at the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula. It is a major shipping centre and fishing town. During the summer it is also a tourist town. Very quaint houses - likely many are vacation rentals. Then we headed back south to Aalborg where we will stay overnight before taking the ferry to Sweden tomorrow ...

Second sleep in the car in the car next to a little pond round the back of a hotel and had my first experience of a not fully dark night as I looked towards the North and my destination the next morning. Slept that night full of anticipation for having finished with the boring driving and looking forward to Norway and beyond.
