Today we starting harvesting. The day of picking the olive off the ground are over. Today they use nets spread out over the area and the use a olive tree beater. It's a long shaft with a rotating head that has several rubber sticks that beat the tree branches and knock the olive off. What I thought was a peaceful harvest, is anything but.
