Went back to Cardiff Central to catch my train back to London. Pretty good day, overall. Cardiff may not have a ton of things to do or see, but I hit the major parts for sure and saw everything I really wanted to see. It was really interesting to see Welsh and English up on all the signs. Like, they really have both languages up almost everywhere. Don't see that every day!

These are the three most commonly words uttered by my today - Wales is just amazing - the scenery, the people, the food and the beer (from Josh!)

Well today started early, with being picked up by our tour guide from our hostel. We set out from Cardiff to Caerphilly, a small town with an amazing castle - there are over 400 castles in Wales! One tower at Caerphilly castle was attacked thousands of years ago ...

Well today we left the comfort of London and headed off on the next leg of our adventure - to the land of the red dragon, Wales! Started with an early start and a 4 hour bus ride from London to Cardiff - was lovely to see the English country side, everything is so lush and green!

The overnight train wasn't a disaster - not exactly luxury as I decided to sleep on top of all my worldly possessions in attempt not to be robbed, but not half bad either. I woke the next morning to find the train was still going which was fine for me as I'd decided that the stop I was meant to get off at was the last stop the train went to. ... that's why when I travel to places like Guatemala City I don't ever feel like I am in any imminent danger and why visitors from Europe and Australia are just amazed that even walking a block after dark in some places in Latin America is a venture best not undertaken.

Cardiff's awesome downtown like any others all across Europe is packed with people, shops, restaurants, bars, housing, etc. It's just exactly the way a clean, safe city ...

We left my place late tonight (after finding what seems to be a lovely new housemate, yay!) and drove straight to Cardiff. Can't believe how close it is to London - so strange to think it's a different country. More a different state where they speak funny. :)

passports! I don't think either of us has really realised that we fly tomorrow!
Although totally excited, i do think im gonna get home sick. I'll just have to keep busy.

... to the Cardiff bus terminal. Buses are the only form of public transportation around Cardiff. Thus, it's pretty easy to find a bus going somewhere. The locals seem to have the schedule memorized as to when buses will appear and where they are going. However, tourists aren't so lucky.
