    While listening to my most favorite song at the moment (Turtle, by Alana Davis), I've realized my trip has BEGUN!!!! It wasn't real until now. I'm sitting at my seat on my way to JFK airport, waiting for my dinner, and I don't really have much to say except that my excitement is finally here. No worrying, no doubting, just excitement.     ... eagerly anticipated our visit to the Unclaimed Baggage Center where they sell all the stuff people never claim from the airlines. It was pretty disappointing. Not a lot of bargains. Good prices on electronics - but all are sold "as is". Oh well. Dinner and a quiet evening completed the day.

    Atlanta is the last big American city I have not visited yet in my adult life. We did go to Six Flags Over Georgia and Stone Mountain Park outside Atlanta on daytrips when I was in my teens and we were visiting my aunt and uncle in northeast Georgia, and I transited through on the highway once in 1993, but I hardly characterize those as seeing Atlanta.
