For dinner we went to the Cypress Inn. http://cypressinnrestaurant.com It is a restaurant on the Black Warrior River. We ate fried chicken salad, fried green tomatoes and lots of other southern food varieties. (A lot of food here is fried). Other unique side dishes were mustard greens, Hopping John (black-eyed peas) and cheesy grits. Everything was yummy!

Road trip coming up this weekend. Pete Deworken and I are driving up his shower trailer to near Atlantic City, NJ. It will be used by volunteers who are going to help people affected by Hurricane Sandy.
