... that can be compared to nothing else.

Although we had many airspace restrictions over the Cape and KSC we were still able to see many sites that I saw from the ground, from the air. As I was using my HD camera, that footage will fit nicely with my ground footage in an upcoming update.

The flight was about 30 minutes and over all too soon. When we returned to the airfield, we landed on a grass strip and used maybe 250' of ...

... than a decade, especially as evidenced by the current design cycle for the Space launch System that won't even get to the test phase in under 8 years.

The theatre doors spit us out to the design pavilion with the Saturn 5, commissioned for Apollo 18 which was cancelled. It used to sit out doors on the grounds but the salt air was destroying it. You enter the display directly under the 5 main engines, the Rocketdyne F1 liquid fuel engines each developing 1.5 ...

As with many things on this trip going to the Kennedy Space Center is probably a once in a lifetime deal so we have gone all out and purchased the Mega tour which adds a couple close up stops to a launch pad and the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB).

We decided that just laying on one of the few hundred loungers was good enough for us. After laying out a bit we finally ventured into the bay where we were surprised by the coolness of the water. We had expected it to be a bit warmer than ...

Today was a long day for us. We drove to Florida Institute of Technology in Melbourne. On the campus are several sites I selected for us to see. First stop was the Botanical Gardens. There is a self guided tour of more than 200 palms, bamboos, and other rare and common botanical specimens. We saw the original 1883 school house of Melbourne which had been moved to these grounds.
