Alanya, Antalya, Turkey stephanberlin... there is about six hectares each and a supply of sea water and fresh water that is unlimited, it rains. When it rains, holidays are just a few letters different from horror days. Fortunately Tanja talked down the price of a room from 80 dollars to 20 Euro, so we are dry tonight, albeit a bit cold. The heater in the room runs overtime now, it has to heat some 40 metres cubed of concrete from 11 to a comfortable 20plus centigrade. We are coming out of Africa, you know.
Alanya, Turkish Mediterranean Coast, Turkey robertandtanja... each other, and have been living here year round for several years. They both have houses here and it appears that they have an unspoken understanding to meet here for beers in the evening. He's retired from his clerk position in a navel shipping company, somewhere in the south of England, specializing in lumber. He tells us how cheap the real estate and land tax is here. She is living on money she and her deceased husband had saved for their retirement, and tells us of a stray ...
Fethiye, Turkey yoni... Damo felt energetic and even swam out to the castle while I lay like a lazy whale on the beach! From Kizkalesi we headed along the coast road towards Alanya. Unfortunately the coastal road was slow as it wound it and out so we made a decision to head inland. Not the best decision ever made on our part. It took us 9 hours and part of the road wasn't sealed and ...

The harbour is of course the place where the Antalya tour boats operate from and going on a one hour harbour cruise at about noon was the one touristy thing that İ nearly did today. I say nearly and if u read on ull know why. It cost €5 and the tout outside the boat said that there were 3 other people on board and we'd leave in 5min. Sure enough there were ındeed 3 other ...
Antalya, Turkey wadirunnerYo. Well just a quick entry today. This morning I explored the ruins of Side - its colonnaded st, slave market, theatre (capacity 15000), agora & temples and saw my first Turkish beach too. Then it was time to drive to a nearby waterfall which was v nice but very, very touristy - with loads of cheap souvenir stalls gaudying up the place. İf Cappadocia was full of Frenchies then so far ...
Antalya, Turkey wadirunner... for it as I am surrounded bare naked flesh - massive great rolls of it! Everyone ıs German and 50 + - Still, friendly atmosphere. Bike attracted much interest from the security guards. It was fun watching them trying to ride it - and failing. It's rather heavy on the steering if you are not used to it. Security take interest Riding badly!
