Good Holiday but food got a bit samey

Had a really enjoyable holiday. Staff very friendly hotel was lovely but food options not very good. After one week got a bit samey and some quite unusual options!!!

Would probably not go back as other reviews have said VERY GERMAN!!!!

      Loved it

We stayed at Turquoise in May 2005.

All excellent, friendly staff, very helpful and always smiling. Excellent meals, however main restaurant a bit croweded at opening times. Rooms could be a bit better, not that they were bad, but ... just a bit below 5* when it comes to bathrooms. Lots of green and trees making it possible to walk or just rest in the shade with infants.

      Mini-zoo is an excellent idea.

Children friendly, our daughters loved it.

Getting sunbeds may be difficult if You don't get up early.

Easy access to Side town by cab (around 5-7 EUR), or by local bus service (rather van service, as a matter of fact).

Limited knowledge of english though, mostly german, russian and french spoken. Excellent animation staff, very nice people at the hotel scuba diving center.

      We Loved This Hotel

We stayed at this wonderful hotel the last 2 weeks of August 2005. It was fabulous. Myself, sister and 2 children ages 4 and 10.

The staff were absolutely fabulous. They were very attentive and wonderful with the children, the level of service was 5*. The animation team were very professional, the shows in the evening were very entertaining & professional. During the day you could do as much or as little as you wanted and the animation team included everyone. The children loved the kids club and took part in some excellent shows.

The children especially enjoyed the slide pool and spent hours here. The relaxation pool is a quiet child free haven, whilst the main pool has more going and is alot busier.

The private beach was very clean and the sea crystal clear, although a little pebbly on entering the sea. We tried the inclusive watersports and jet skiing both were very good and safe, life jackets etc. The pier is an excellent place to get away from it all with a glass of wine, good book and sun cream, heaven!! Also excellent for snorkelling off.

The food here is excellent. All cooked fresh in front of you. If you like your food be sure to loose a few pounds before you go as the deserts especially are heaven.

Our rooms were very clean and comfortable, the mini bar which was inclusive was restocked every day.

The hotel management walk around the hotel meeting and greeting guests to ensure their stay is faultless. (including the general manager)

We will definately be booking this hotel again. We had a wonderful time here and could not fault anything about it.

      Turquoise Hotel

We tavelled with Thomson Holidays from Manchester 060905 for one week stay. Arrived at the Turquoise hotel approx. 4.00am. On arrival the reception was good and a sandwich with drinks were waiting in the room.

The food at the hotel is excellent from breakfast to late bites at midnight.

Staff are very friendly, although English is spoken it is very busy with Russian & German tourists. Plently of entertainments during the day & shows in the evening.

The rooms are suitable but a little dated, but have everything you need.Set in 35 acres of pine forests, the peace & tranquility is great. The beach & pools are fantastic.Plenty for children to do aswell.

Side is very close a dolmus (local bus) can be flagged down outside the main entrance to the hotel cost 3 turkish lire return.Don't bother with the car train, where the dolmus drops you.If your up to walking to the centre of Side it is approx. 10mins walk.

This was an excellent holiday well recommended we cannot wait to go back again. The Euro is now widely used in Turkey, but you can still get bargins using the Turkish Lire or English Pounds. Do a local boat trip from Side harbour, great value approx.10.00 for a full day 9.00am -6.00am inc. pick up from your hotel & lunch. (drinks are not included) take them with you.

      A fantastic place

An absolutly amazing hotel, situated right next to the beach, water sports and activities and plently of sun loungers,I never had to reserve one. Food excellent, different themed nights so every meal is different, chefs cooking everything fresh while you watch, also three al a carte restaurants which you could visit so was a change from a buffet and very nice too. Staff very very friendly, cant do enough for you very efficient service, bringing drinks and cleaning up all the time. Entertainment on an evening was also excellent, differnet shows in the ampitheatre. Also very good bars, drinks avaliable til 2am all inclusive but 24 hour bar avaliable but i think after 2am you have to pay.

      Cocktails galore!!!!

Rooms excellent, mini bar in room re stocked everyday which is included in the all inclusive.

I cannot praise this place enough, very good and ill be definatly visiting again.

      Superb Holiday

We spent the last week of August at this hotel and loved it. Food superb, hotel superb (very clean and efficient). We liked the fact that there were hardly any English and that it wasn't like being in Benidorm. Germans did not bother us at all. Yes you have to fight to get a sunbed but breakfast finished at 10 so you had to be up for that anyway!! We loved it so much, we only left the complex once and plan to go back next year!!

OK If you speak fluent German!!!!!!!!

Stayed here for the last two weeks of August, as hotel is set in Pine Forest, you get absolutely no air at all, all table tops are wet with humidity, nothing dries over night, weather really hot, in 40's every day.

Picked this hotel as taking only one child, instead of usual three, very disappointed with kids club, completely german, all the signs were in german, the competitions everything, my son refused to go. All hotel staff would insist on speaking to you in german, when you had made it very clear that you were english. Food very good, but restaurant was like a school canteen, with everyone pushing and shoving. Three a la carte restaurants, which you can only book once, you do not get a choice, it is a set menu, although it is nice to get away from the canteen!!!!!!

Cannot get a sun bed anywhere near the pool, although the hotel post signs saying dont reserve them, there are towels on them at 7 in the morning.!!!!!. We all had bad stomachs and ended up with a trip to the doctor, who i would say was absolutely brilliant. Also if you are planning to go here, do not bother with Turkish Lire, all prices are in Euros, and they are accepted everywhere, even in the markets.

      Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!!

      You Will Not Be Disappointed

Booked a week there but wish had stayed longer. Food was excellent, staff very very friendly and facilities first class. Normal problems of towels on sunbeds early in the morning but only a slight hiccup. If someone has a sweet tooth then go there as the deserts were out of this world-easy to put weight on! Located in huge pine forest 2 miles from the town of side. Taxis to Side only 6 euros each way. Roman remains there well worth a visit. If you like drinking all day then that is not a problem as one bar is open 24 hrs. One good thing is at mealtimes you can order bottles of wine rather than glasses-of course all included. Weather was hot -in the 40's each day. Spa is good with sauna small gym and steamroom free.

All in all well worth trying out and we hope to go there again in the future.

      Entertainment was brilliant

Having never been to Turkey before I wasn`t sure what to expect but my girlfriend and I had a fantastic time. The room was great, very quiet and air conditioned. The pool area was well designed and right next to the beach which was very clean. No problems getting loungers either.Staff very friendly and helpful, they called us Mr. and Mrs.England because we were the only English people there which was not a problem as everyone was so friendly and chatty! The food was great although my girlfriend did have a dodgy stomach for two days,we put this down to the salad as I didn`t have any.Just stick to what the chefs cook in front of you.Exploring Side was a laugh.Prepare to be pestered a little and barter! We made some great friendships with people from Switzerland,Belgium,Germany,Russia, etc.A very friendly, well run hotel,we had a great time and would recommend it to anyone!

      Fantastic Hotel

Location excellent. Set in the forrest and next to the beach. Away from all the noise of Side (only 5 minute taxi ride to Side - 6 euros)

Food at buffet offers excellent variety. Different themed nights every night - no one night is the same. Quality is excellent

The formal restuarant offers a set menu of either Kebab or Fish (5 courses) and again is excellent.

Hotel is mainly used by Russians, Germans and Belgians. Very very few British people there.

      Staff are all very friendly.

Rooms are nice and clean as is the rest of the hotel.

Don't take turkish currency. Everything is priced in Euros.

Spa is excellent (most of the staff are from Bulgaria) and prices are very cheap compared to UK. A full body massage is only 28 euros !

If you are looking for a hotel that offers excellent value for money (it is 5 star) is clean, has friendly staff and has great facilities then this is where I would recommend
