When we arrived it was 8.30 pm and we were picked up by a nice man who took us to the room we are renting. It was time for a walk...too much sitting had been done. We decided to walk to the beach and explore.

Onto the bus to hear about our day. It should have been a trip to Aspendos, some mega ancient ruins of an amphitheatre which seated about 10000, built in about 100AD but we can't go there as they have the builders in, so a river trip has been substituted instead.

Historical Traveler Reviews Turquoise Resort Hotel & Spa Side
Good Holiday but food got a bit samey
Had a really enjoyable holiday. Staff very friendly hotel was lovely but food options not very good. After one week got a bit samey and some quite unusual options!!!
Would probably not go back as other reviews have said VERY GERMAN!!!!
We stayed at this wonderful hotel the last 2 weeks of August 2005. It was fabulous. Myself, sister and 2 children ages 4 and 10.
We tavelled with Thomson Holidays from Manchester 060905 for one week stay. Arrived at the Turquoise hotel approx. 4.00am. On arrival the reception was good and a sandwich with drinks were waiting in the room.
An absolutly amazing hotel, situated right next to the beach, water sports and activities and plently of sun loungers,I never had to reserve one. Food excellent, different themed nights so every meal is different, chefs cooking everything fresh while you watch, also three al a carte restaurants which you could visit so was a change from a buffet and very nice too. Staff very very friendly, cant do enough for you very efficient service, bringing drinks and cleaning up all the time. Entertainment on an evening was also excellent, differnet shows in the ampitheatre. Also very good bars, drinks avaliable til 2am all inclusive but 24 hour bar avaliable but i think after 2am you have to pay.
We spent the last week of August at this hotel and loved it. Food superb, hotel superb (very clean and efficient). We liked the fact that there were hardly any English and that it wasn't like being in Benidorm. Germans did not bother us at all. Yes you have to fight to get a sunbed but breakfast finished at 10 so you had to be up for that anyway!! We loved it so much, we only left the complex once and plan to go back next year!!
Stayed here for the last two weeks of August, as hotel is set in Pine Forest, you get absolutely no air at all, all table tops are wet with humidity, nothing dries over night, weather really hot, in 40's every day.
Booked a week there but wish had stayed longer. Food was excellent, staff very very friendly and facilities first class. Normal problems of towels on sunbeds early in the morning but only a slight hiccup. If someone has a sweet tooth then go there as the deserts were out of this world-easy to put weight on! Located in huge pine forest 2 miles from the town of side. Taxis to Side only 6 euros each way. Roman remains there well worth a visit. If you like drinking all day then that is not a problem as one bar is open 24 hrs. One good thing is at mealtimes you can order bottles of wine rather than glasses-of course all included. Weather was hot -in the 40's each day. Spa is good with sauna small gym and steamroom free.
Having never been to Turkey before I wasn`t sure what to expect but my girlfriend and I had a fantastic time. The room was great, very quiet and air conditioned. The pool area was well designed and right next to the beach which was very clean. No problems getting loungers either.Staff very friendly and helpful, they called us Mr. and Mrs.England because we were the only English people there which was not a problem as everyone was so friendly and chatty! The food was great although my girlfriend did have a dodgy stomach for two days,we put this down to the salad as I didn`t have any.Just stick to what the chefs cook in front of you.Exploring Side was a laugh.Prepare to be pestered a little and barter! We made some great friendships with people from Switzerland,Belgium,Germany,Russia, etc.A very friendly, well run hotel,we had a great time and would recommend it to anyone!
