Not directly in city center, but the bus stops right in front of the hotel. We had reasonable rates, for one night's stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had the double room, and one room was very small, but the other was average, at least. The bathrooms were small, but worked properly, so how much space do you need? The hotel was very clean. We had the breakfast and thought it was 8 euros per person well spent. We would stay here again.

We took a trip to Salzburg while the girls were here over Christmas Vacation.  It was a first visit for all of us and a place we would be very happy to visit again. But that seems to be the consensus of everyone, when we told them we were going there, everyone agreed it was a good idea. It's a lovely city that has finally embraced the fact …

I think it has all been a bit much and 35 degrees today has taken its toll. I'm sure all will be better after a good nights sleep (let's hope he gets one as he is in my ...

... swim out. The Dinghy has been repaired after its altercation with the tree and has been transformed into a hot tub by Charlotte (she filled it with water which got warm!) The worse thing about Berau has to be the pesky wasps. Charlotte got stung on the ankle on Sunday (the wasp died as a result!) and as soon as you get any food out they are there! What use are wasps anyway??? Mr T took to being a wasp killing ninja and armed with a spoon ...

... fancy while we were in the dark haha.
The excursion took nearly the whole day and we even stoped for some food up on the mountrain. Jessie and I got grilled chesse and apfelstrudel..what else?! We were really tired from the hiking all day so we just showerd and ate dinner at the hostel after we came back. We were off to Venice (Venezia) the next day and we would spend most of the day on the train so we had to hit up the fortress in Salzburg before we left!

... his wishes his remains are entombed in a crypt directly below the great organ that is the highlight of the basilica.

There are some truly astonishing things to see in this monastery. One is the library, which may be the single most amazing thing this jaded traveller has ever seen. It is, perhaps, 60 feet long by 30 feet wide with another 30 feet to the ceiling. Every square inch of the four walls, except for the main door and two windows, is taken up with ...
