We took a trip to Salzburg while the girls were here over Christmas Vacation. It was a first visit for all of us and a place we would be very happy to visit again. But that seems to be the consensus of everyone, when we told them we were going there, everyone agreed it was a good idea.
It's a lovely city that has finally embraced the fact that …
Up at 6.30am and away for 7.30.
Very fast paced driving on the German motorway, mostly no speed limits, Mark did a good job.
(He did get a little miffed when he was cruising along doing 100MPH and got overtaken by a hurst)
The scenery was superb, the weather 24* and sunny, the town was pretty, lots of alfresco dining.

Not directly in city center, but the bus stops right in front of the hotel. We had reasonable rates, for one night's stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had the double room, and one room was very small, but the other was average, at least. The bathrooms were small, but worked properly, so how much space do you need? The hotel was very clean. We had the breakfast and thought it was 8 euros per person well spent. We would stay here again.
