Not directly in city center, but the bus stops right in front of the hotel. We had reasonable rates, for one night's stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had the double room, and one room was very small, but the other was average, at least. The bathrooms were small, but worked properly, so how much space do you need? The hotel was very clean. We had the breakfast and thought it was 8 euros per person well spent. We would stay here again.

We have just come back from a lovely trip up to Lake Konigssee, and a boat trip down the lake to St Bartholoma. The lake is nestled between the mountains, and is 602m above sea level with an average depth of 150m. It is the cleanest lake in Germany, with the water being pure enough to be classified ...

Still alive, we traveled back to Salzburg slowly, walked the river by night and checked out the cathedral all while consuming pumpkin soup, chocolate, apple strudel and coffee.

... that Gedanksfest is a multi-day affair. Which meant that almost everything was still closed. What was nice though, was that there were almost no other tourists. I walked around the Altstadt for a while and then headed up into the hills that surround Salzburg. I found an old set of walls that had been erected prior to the castle. About a kilometer away was another set of walls erected at the same time as the castle. I think the ...

        ... ever!

There were a few nice plazas back down the hill, with lots of souvenir shops and gorgeous matched horses for touristy carriage rides. We resisted, but some of those horses were so pretty! Ben bought another new pair of sunglasses, just cheapies, as he's been squinting for a while without them again.

... our room on the third floor we had to wait in a long line for the elevator because we have carried our luggage up many stairs already, and didn't feel like doing it again. We got to our room, and it is pretty. It's like a cabin. Alina and I are sharing a bed again, but we have separate blankets, so we don't have to steal them from each other. The view of the mountain from our balcony is awesome. We loved it. We decided to take ...
