Not directly in city center, but the bus stops right in front of the hotel. We had reasonable rates, for one night's stay. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We had the double room, and one room was very small, but the other was average, at least. The bathrooms were small, but worked properly, so how much space do you need? The hotel was very clean. We had the breakfast and thought it was 8 euros per person well spent. We would stay here again.

The CK Shuttle dropped us at the hotel door in time for dinner, after a drive through back roads of Bohemia to Linz, and then the highway to Salzburg. A good bit of rain on the highway diminished the view of the mountains along the way. We walked to dinner at an Italian place a couple of blocks from the hotel after re-stocking our wallets at the …

... saying to you?". Well me and my mum just walked off giggling!

The middle floor was interesting and it had a lot of stories from the first world war, which you don't tend to hear about as much because people just talk about world war two. After we finished looking around we got lunch at a café a little way out of the town centre which was really nice. It was all home made food and delicious!

I've volunteered to help at the London Comedy Film Festival in January. I am very excited about this opportunity, more excited then I've been in a while. And I'm going to keep my eyes open for a few more of these opportunities! Who knows what I might get to be a part of in 2015. One can only jump forward and take a leap of faith :)

... We parked in the town and walked to the lake which was very nice in the sunshine.

At the lake there was a pontoon which was nice to walk out onto, the water was amazingly clear in the lake you could see right to the bottom. There was also a little swimming pool which was part of the lake but with steps down to it - I cant believe people actually swim in there!! It was iced over at the sides which shows how cold it is. Its very refreshing walking in the ...

... suddenly the fountain in the largest pool started spouting water like Old Faithful geyser. We got lunch before we left the castle, two orders of Wiener Schnitzel mit pommes (with French fries) which we split. Mom and Erin got bottles of water while Dad and Derek got half liters of beer.

We stopped at the Ettal Monastery in Ettal. This was a cloister and so there is an enclosed courtyard. The Church itself was ...
